Most low latitude quiescent prominences are subject to a sudden disappearance during their life-time. This phenomenon is called "disparition brusque". During this phase, the prominence, as a whole, rises with increasing velocity and then disappears. The prominence (or filament, as seen against the disk) often reforms at the same location. The prominence here breaks into two pieces at 072OUT and quickly rises in the corona. Very fine loops and filamentary structures formed around 0740OUT. Ultimately, the whole prominence vanished at 0756UT.
